The Journey of Carlos Beltrán Cazessus
At Chocosportfishing, we are proud to feature the experience and talent of Carlos Manuel Beltrán Cazessus, known worldwide as “Choco”. His journey is a testament to passion, consistency, and deep knowledge of the sea.
His career began in 1996 as a commercial fisherman, laying the foundation for his trade. By 2005, he had established himself professionally in sport fishing, collaborating with leading companies like Wahoo Loco Sportfishing and Fatis Sportfishing. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated high competitive levels in international tournaments such as Bisbee’s Tuna Jackpot and the Wahoo Shootout, alongside numerous local competitions.
Currently, Carlos works on his own vessels, consolidating independence and leading projects on boats including Feeling Azul, Estrella del Norte, Cazadora, Sea Serenity Now, Warrior, and Patrón. His recent major achievement was representing Mexico in the World Fishing Championship in France in 2025, reaffirming his status as one of the top fishermen of his generation.
